Fishing on Orchid Lake is limited to members, registered renters and authorized guests who are properly licensed and have current member cards. Rules and regulations promulgated by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will be observed at all times. Orchid Lake Estates has a catch and release policy unless otherwise indicated by OLE on the OLE website or as indicated below:

SHOULD BE KEPT AND NOT THROWN BACK IN
A round body and an overall mottled color pattern signifies a black crappie.
An elongated profile and mottling arranged in bars identifies a white crappie.
